2. Berliner Herbstsalon, Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, November 2015
The first venue of the IMAGINARY BAUHAUS MUSEUM’s collection of the future was created in the context of the 2nd Berliner Herbstsalon 2015. At the invitation of the Maxim Gorki Theater they created a sort of social utopian space for radical diversity, for artistic work and research, on the controversial issues of our time. Questions of flight and migration as “World Cultural Heritage” which are also shaping the historical legacy of the Bauhaus were addressed.
In the framework of the exhibition, interventions, participatory installation and performances in and around the Palais am Festungsgraben were developed, which deal with the topic of flight in a museum of the future. Part of the daily changing programme were already existing works by alumni as well as public lectures and discussions under the direction of the cultural scholar Dr. Boris Buden.

* IMAGINARY BAUHAUS MUSEUM is a project series of artistic research by Prof. Danica Dakić in collaboration with Dr. Boris Buden, Ina Weise, Claire Waffel, Jirka Reichmann, students and alumni of the M.F.A., as well as the photographer Egbert Trogemann. In several exhibitions a constantly changing museum collection is being produced. The IMAGINARY BAUHAUS MUSEUM draws on inspirations from a dialogue with the historical Bauhaus and opens itself in a transformative process to the social, economic and political realities of the present and future.

Flucht und Migration prägen auch das historische Erbe des Bauhauses. Im Rahmen der Ausstellung entstehen Interventionen, partizipative Installationen und Performances in und um das Palais am Festungsgraben, die sich mit Themen der Flucht in einer Museumssammlung der Zukunft beschäftigen. Zum täglich wechselnden Programm gehören eine Auswahl bereits realisierter Arbeiten sowie öffentliche Vorträge unter der Leitung des Kulturwissenschaftlers Dr. Boris Buden.
IMAGINARY BAUHAUS MUSEUM ist eine Projektreihe der künstlerischen Forschung von Prof. Danica Dakić in Zusammenarbeit mit Dr. Boris Buden, Ina Weise, Claire Waffel, Jirka Reichmann, Studierenden und Alumni des Masterstudiengangs sowie dem Fotografen Egbert Trogemann. In mehreren Ausstellungsstationen wird eine ständig sich verändernde Museumssammlung produziert. Das IMAGINARY BAUHAUS MUSEUM bezieht Inspirationen aus einem Dialog mit dem historischen Bauhaus und öffnet sich transformativ den gesellschaftlichen, ökonomischen und politischen Realitäten der Gegenwart und der Zukunft.
